Friday the 13th I left work at 12:30 to make a quick trip to Targhee. I heard they had 4 new inches. It was sunny at the base and 23 degrees. Very much winter on top" 10 degrees, snowing, 15 mph wind with -7 windchill. I'm not acclimated to the cold yet. I found it quite rocky with the exception of one very sweet, knee deep powder stash. I passed a group of young snowboarders on the way up and had to break trail still made the summit from the car in less than an hour. Not bad for an old dude.
