Peak 11,308 in the Spring

Wednesday Turbo and I headed over to the Borah trailhead to attempt a ski on the North Face of 11,308, a peak with a couple of mixed routes on it's west face. With the forecast 60% chance of snow and high winds I wasn't too interested to spend much time up high. Turbo quietly pushed and I agreed. It was a great day even though the breakable crust made skiing a little challenging (we are quite spoiled by this point). Given the full on winter conditions we didn't summit but skied from about 9600 feet. Lot's of bushwacking with skis and boots on our backs made a great exercise day!  Yippee
Wide load signs needed.
A little awkward down-climbing.
High winds and snowing.
More careful downclimbing

Snowy Lost River scree, my favorite!
